The Manager of Biomet became the 13th "Mister Economy"

Dipl. Eng. Vanyo Alexiev won the prize in the category for overall contribution to development of Bulgarian economy where his competitors were the director of Kozlodui power station.
In the other category - "Contribution to development of Bulgarian Industry" the statue "Fisher and the golden fish" was awarded to Nikola Dobrev - president of the supervisory board of KCM S.A. - Plovdiv
For second consecutive president of the Board of directors and Chief executive officer of Bulstrad Rumyan Yanchev won the prize in category "Contribution to development of the non-banking financial sector
In a really close "duel" with the deputy Maya Manolova - solely with few votes ahead, special prize for "Contribution to business environment" was awarded to the minister of justice Miglena Tacheva. This year winners at the national competition "Mister/Missis Economy 2008", organized by Economy journal and the Association of Industrial capital in Bulgaria were nominated by standing expert jury specially formed for the purpose.
Jury comprises more than 280 prominent persons in the fields of economy, business, finance, policy, media.
Experts made their selection by the means of filling in inquiry form with the publicly broadcast and announced nominations in the three categories of the national competition.
Procedure related to distribution and filling in the inquiry forms was performed by lawyer's office Doinovska, Atanasov & Co.
At last representative of sector Transport and Logistics was excelled, was the comment of Vanyo Alexiev - manager of Biomet when he was handed the prize for overall contribution to development of national economy.
He outlined contribution of the sector for 2008 to economy of the state. "Transport and logistics are the link in economy - activity, without which no other activity in economy, services and overall prosperity of the community is not possible", he stated.
On the other hand transport and logistics are function of economy - they depend on it
According to the statement of Alexiev 2008 has been successful in general, nevertheless during the last three months the negative effect of the world economic crisis was felt as well.
"Year has been completed, we shall think of the next year as a great challenge", added the awarded and stated that the most unimportant issue is achievements to be retained during the crisis as community to survive.
As most important achievement of Biomet Alexiev stated that company has succeeded to prove itself as leader in the sector.
